He played (Plays? We don't know if his character survived or not yet.) the serial killer Syler on HEROES. Now he's been cast as the young version of Mr. Spock in the next STAR TREK movie.

I don't know ... but it really doesn't matter to me who is or is not gay. Unless they are impacting laws or public opinion AGAINST gays, then let them be what they want to be. I mean, why was it so important that Clay Aiken, who everyone knew was gay anyway, come out publicly to say so? Big deal.

There isn't a whole lot of discretion in the world as it is. If somone feels the need to play a role both onscreen and in their private life, who am I to judge them? Maybe their friends should be the ones to help them overcome their fears and not the gossip mongers and tabloid press.

Fact is, being labeled "gay" DOES impact a person's career. It's too bad and it should NOT be that way, but it is. You might have a successful career as a gay actor, but you won't get the wide assortment of parts you want to play -- not in this society, sad to say, if you come out.
