I miss his role as Sylar.....he was the ONLY reason I watched Heroes. He has some shirtless scenes sometimes....yummmm!
Congrats to ZQ!!! I'm sure he'll be a lot happier now.
I know many people think "blind items" are bs, but there was one about a sci-fi movie star who wanted to come out, but the studio wanted him to wait until the sequels were out and over. A lot of people thought the subject was ZQ ("Star Trek"), but now I'm wondering if it was TL...???
"Don't wait for the world to be ready. Find what you're looking for."
Wonder what his screen name is on here...
Love him - Love him - Love him - glad he's finally out.
For all sad words of tongue and pen,
The saddest are these, 'It might have been.'
Now's my chance....*put on Hooker clothes*
Mr. Quinto,my hat is off to you sir!We change the world one tiny step at a time.No disrespect intended, but this is far more important than the respective "coming-outs" of a Ricky Martin,Richard Chamberlain or even Neil Patrick Harris. That Quinto is as new in his obviously very promising career,as young, and yes, as leading-man attractive, makes this a little unprecedented! That he has managed to be as casual, yet noble, really, really helps as well!I personally am VERY excited for him!
He was a very lickable Spock.
I love that guy.. and he is a very good actor.
He is a stinky hipster. I cannot bring myself to support this abomination.
Good for him! I actually met a ZQ look alike in India. I wonder if he's gay too.
He was beautiful as David in The Wrath of Kahn and The Search for Spock. Shatner wasn't too happy about having a gay man as a son. It was some of the best acting he ever did. (Merritt's homosexuality wasn't a big secret.) His role of T'Jon (Next Generation) came in 1988, 1 year before his death. He died of AIDS in 1989. He was only 29.

and I’ll run to behold your sacrifice..."
I am glad for him. I wish him a long happy life and a prosperous career.
Cheers to him by the way for doing this before Star Trek is released and to serve as a role model for a lot of kids and young adults out there in the dark....

Wasn't there a thread ages ago saying he was gay? I'd assumed he was out already.
What zach wrote on his official website
when i found out that jamey rodemeyer killed himself - i felt deeply troubled. but when i found out that jamey rodemeyer had made an it gets better video only months before taking his own life - i felt indescribable despair. i also made an it gets better video last year - in the wake of the senseless and tragic gay teen suicides that were sweeping the nation at the time. but in light of jamey's death - it became clear to me in an instant that living a gay life without publicly acknowledging it - is simply not enough to make any significant contribution to the immense work that lies ahead on the road to complete equality. our society needs to recognize the unstoppable momentum toward unequivocal civil equality for every gay lesbian bisexual and transgendered citizen of this country. gay kids need to stop killing themselves because they are made to feel worthless by cruel and relentless bullying. parents need to teach their children principles of respect and acceptance. we are witnessing an enormous shift of collective consciousness throughout the world. we are at the precipice of great transformation within our culture and government. i believe in the power of intention to change the landscape of our society - and it is my intention to live an authentic life of compassion and integrity and action. jamey rodemeyer's life changed mine. and while his death only makes me wish that i had done this sooner - i am eternally grateful to him for being the catalyst for change within me. now i can only hope to serve as the same catalyst for even one other person in this world. that - i believe - is all that we can ask of ourselves and of each other.
LOVE him. Have had a bit of a crush/obsession with him since Heroes. He did really well in star trek too (Holy HELL! did he look like Leonard Nemoy lol).
Now that he's out, it almost makes him a little hotter.
When I heard them talking about this on TV last night, I thought everyone already knew, but still I thought it was a brave choice.
I think he's proven himself a very good actor, and hopefully at the end of the day that's all that will matter for the future of his career.
Mr. Quinto and Mr. Ventimiglia were the only reasons I stayed with Heroes as long as I did. Great looking guys.
When I first heard they were rebooting Star Trek I was kind of worried about it, but now I simply can't wait for the next film and hopefully many more to come.
Love ya Zach!
"The penis mightier then the sword!"That's right... right?
Great, I'm proud of him. Maybe more actors in the closet will follow suit be something of an inspiration to everyone else.
It sucks that it's easier for actresses to come out and everything's A-okay. I can't wait to see what media an co-stars have to say about Quinto-Spock coming out.
There must be something about Star Ship Enterprise.
They killed off the cute homo in the one that Kirstie Alley was in, I remember.
Really surprised this isn't at the top of the threadlist. It isn't every day that actors that everyone has crushes on and who we wish were gay actually turn out to be.
His decision influenced at least one other (I wouldn't say high profile) news anchor to come out too (very casually I might add, classy): http://www.politico.com/blogs/onmedi...out_onair.html
OY QUinto do movie
whack trek of ya own country serialed
same fa rest planet folks their whack job countrys
Regardless, thank you, Zachary! I loved youbefore and love you even more now!
A straight friend who convinced me to see Star Trek in theaters used Zachary Quinto's gayness as an incentive. So, I'm pretty sure he was already out...
"mmmyes, this is all true..."
Ask Me Questions!
and, yes, these are my eyes.
I'm actually surprised. I never really bothered to think about the guy's sexuality. He always creeped me out as Sylar in Heroes so I guess I never saw him that way.
Good for him though. He's a great actor and a worthy addition to our community.

I admit that part of me was shocked that he did come out, even though we all "knew" he was. His post about Jamey was beautiful and I really loved his follow up tweet -
"i have spent the day in awe of this outpouring of support and resonance. we. are. in. this. together. NEVER FORGET! i am deeply moved." I loved reading through all of the comments on his website - both replies to his blog post and in the community part of the site - by fans. It totally makes the comments by people who say stuff like, "I will never see the next Star Trek movie because he's gay" or "I will never be able to believe him kissing a woman in a movie" appear very childish.
i love his work and i am so proud of him
Sure.. some people will probably boycott his movie, but my bet is that he'll gain more fans than he's losing, and those who now refuse to watch his movies never deserved to be his fans in the first place anyway. He's better off without them.

Zachary Quinto "Incredibly Grateful" for Support Since Coming Out
Zachary Quinto is still riding high from the amount of support he's received in the wake of his decision to come out as a gay man in a New York Magazine interview.
"I feel so incredibly grateful to all of the people who've reached out to me directly or indirectly or just in spirit," Margin Call's Quinto, 34, told The Associated Press Monday at his film's New York City premiere. "I feel really, really like my entire future is laid out in a different way and it's thrilling and scary and overwhelming."
' I never saw him that way '
-I didn't predict when he would come out. I just saw his gay face.-

Gay ABC News anchor comes out while talking about ‘Star Trek’ actor Zach Quinto on the air
Dan Kloeffler, a co-anchor for ABC News' very, very early "World News Now" show, revealed on the air that he is gay. While delivering a report on Zach Quinto, the "Star Trek" actor who recently came out in an interview with New York magazine, Kloeffler said he would consider dropping his rule against dating actors [...] http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/cutline/...GFnZQ--;_ylv=3
