I cant because if I did someone might recognize me. No I am not famous but 1000,s of people would recognize my pics. of my dogs and backyard.
Just to show that not all of my wallpapers are nudie beefcake hunks, another favorite that came up in the shuffle today (I have a program that changes my wallpaper every day):

^ Webshots Desktop, a free (with free sign-up membership) download available at Webshots.com. They have huge libraries of shared images you can download for free (here is my gallery of contributions); you have to pony up about forty bucks a year if you want to download the high-res professional pictures.

This thread must not die!
Stone cold sober as a matter of fact.
^ Thanks, but I really don't like Linux. I have to use it at university, and I just find it's much less user friendly than windows.
Cheers Robert~Marlénè, I'm downloading it now.
Here's my desktop for my new computer running Windows Vista.

Here is mine. I've actually had it up for awhile but I don't feel like changing it.

This was just taken earlier this morning. We're having really soggy weather here in Vancouver, so when there was a brief pause this morning, I took the chance to take photos of those lovely cherry blossoms. I hardly got a couple of shots when it started raining again. Ah well....
I always have pictures of castles and such, this is the one i've had since two days ago.

I don't have to tell you it goes without saying there are some things better left unsaid. I think that speaks for itself. The less said about it the better. ~George Carlin

I hate not knowing how to do stuff when a lot know how to do it, but I'm going to ask anyways. How do you take a shot of your computer screen? Thanks...
You need an 'imaging' program (Photoshop, Paint Shop Pro, etc.) that allows Copy and Paste to do it.
All you do is press the PRINT SCREEN key which copies the scene on the monitor to your Clipboard. Then open your imaging program and Paste the image into it and save the pasted image as a JPG file.
Alright this is my desktop. Yay I finally did it!
It's earth desk and puts current sat pics of clouds on the earth. You can centre it on any location. In my example Exeter UK.

Actually, you don't need anything that fancy (unless you want to display with stunning clarity as above): you can do it with the Paint program that comes installed in every Windows PC (which you'll find under "Accessories"). It's what I use. And to reduce the file size (Paint automatically saves as a BMP), save it as a JPEG.

This is my background at work now. I just like the look of it. I've written at least three stories in my head just by looking at it in my idle moments.
