I don't know how to take a screenshot of my laptop, but this is the wallpaper on it:
Shot these last summer, expressly for desktop pix, the top one with a Canon digital, the second with a Nikkormat and a 200 Vivitar lens.
nice work...my preference wpuld be # 2.
Open a graphics program like Paint, Gimp, Photoshop, or ?????
Go to 'paste' and the image of your desktop will be pasted in (You may have to make a new document. I forget, but it will be the size of the image saved to your clipboard)
Save it as a file
Here is a program for screen capturing - no installation required, but you can install if you want-
My desktop is dull but what the hell. . .
Took this of a pedestrian suspension bridge that's combined with a vehicle bridge in Aug. 2012, using a 1930 120-film Kodak Brownie box.

That is quite a throwback... this is a pic I took today of my School just prior to class... it is on the opposite of a throwback and the lighting is all wrong. I had to go in for school so I couldn't wait for closer to sunset...
If I had more time and the right light this could be a spectacular shot.... in the morning the sun breaks into the sky just to the left of the steeples.
If the sun's angle is right at sunset, the wires might turn into threads of gold and the top windows silver ingots.
Well before I go to bed, I figure with the right lens I can make the power lines invisible and the cars as well by going down the slope a bit and using a monopod. I was thinking the same about the towers with a rising sun... the view from the other side is just as remarkable with mutli colored buildings of the almost nonexistent college town but looking up at the Clock tower building... It make an impressive place look all that much more substantial.....
I seriously need to get back to my photography...
/end thread hijack
This thread inspired a change to this.
I dunno how long I'll stick with it. I'm thinking orangutans.
^Nice .. I've always liked city lights at night images
Thanks, Jay! It's one of my favorite skyline shots of Atlanta!
One of my current car crushes:
Still haven't taken the screen shot of my laptop, but I changed the iPad background the other day.
Actually, it's kind of bringing me down to look at all the time.
Even though it's fascinating to consider how this came to be (interlocked horns) and the appeal of symmetry and floating leaves.
I need a less challenging desktop.
Even though its basically still winter...I recently changed mine to a spring image

I would like to have image on my desktop, but it would distract me too much
The contemplation of death and struggle brought me down, so I'm resorting to Spring.
'Xtina' and Calvin Harris.
One of my own design, but it gives away something about myself I'd rather not post here. This was what it was before (in more of a rectangular shape).
Maybe i can capture a pic or two this weekend that will be suitable desktop jewlery.
The roads around me are under construction... so a ramp to College Blvd is closed...
the flashing sign said
" RAMP TO
I found that amazingly funny but was too tired to stop and take a pic....
My old, battered, red guitar.
