Good Firefox Pop Up Blocker?

Any suggestions for a good Firefox Pop Up Blocker? For some reason I'm still getting a lot of pop ups with Firefox and the browser was supposed to be good at preventing them.

In firefox go to tools downloads and you can add all kinds of neat things to it.

Sometime popups can be the result of malware though also.

I have adblock plus and it works great though. You can click on anything and block it with wildcards. For example I block all the banner adds on ebay and there is a forum member with a very ugly penis in his avatar so I just block it.

some pop-ups may already be embedded at your PC. try using spybot search and destroy for adwares and pop-up generators.

How do the filters work?

i think they block everything defined in the adblock file, which should be a lot ...
if it's not ennough you can download this adblock file and import it over the import function in adblock plus.

now you should have an ad-free webbrowsing experience ... at least i do ...

EDIT: For some reason, all of my ads that I have blocked today are coming up after I installed that filter.

by importing the filter you can choose between overwrite current filter-settings or add to current filter settings ...
it looks like you will have to block those things again...

Do you know anything about the Firefox add on that blocks/deletes the tabs so that you can't see which tab is porn and which tab is email? I hope that makes sense, but there is an add on that deletes the texts on the tabs.
