Ive used both. To me, it seems like Vista is OSX with a new skin.

...and I was dying laughing when I used Media Player 10. Can you say iTunes?!

Microsoft... they so funny. Thanks for the link!!

Microsoft... lacking in their own vision... usually steals their gui ideas from Apple in general.

Apple has always been the innovator.

And don't you think with the even more Mac appearance in Vista that Microsoft has now legitimized Macintosh?

Well first David Pogue is a shill for Apple, notice anything in common with most of the books he has written?
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Pogue

Lets talk about desktop search. Did david remember to include the fact that Microsoft INTRODUCED the idea of instant search with their "Pillars of Longhorn" before apple copied it with Spotlight? No, of course not.

Did he talk about how microsoft intriduced the sidebar and sideshow before apple copied their idea, and konfabulator's, before apple decided to intriduce their widgets.

And what about OSX, everyone seems to think all microsoft does is copy, but they fail to call apple on it when they do the same thing. I dont see you bitching about how apple is copying microsoft with Time Machine, in the next verion of OSX, which is a blatent rip off of the System Restore and Volume Shadow copy technologies. Or perhaps how Core Animation is a cheep reply to Windows Presentation Foundation?

To be fair some of those features were invented before MS, but ALL SOFTWARE COMPANIES COPY. So get off your high horse.

stealing ideas from open source software isn't innovative at all.

They all steal from each other. MS isn't the only one.

I'm a Macuser but Apple stole the idea of "column-view" from MS, for example...

That is a cool video. I actually have nothing against MS and Vista, it seems tho that they had their class of Mac OS. Just like IE7 had for Firefox. IE7 basically copied what Mozilla invented 4 years prior.

I think Vista looks nice. It has cool features and looks rather slick. So thumbs up... I guess.

Until I get enough spare cash to purchase the 150 Euros license I'm sticking to XP.

Oh yeah? Shows what you know. Apple's a lot better than MS! It steals from itself!

Imagine that! Barrons publishing an article based on Rob Enderle!
I guess it's time to replace Jobs. Besides MS can do EVERYTHING better. See

I know he's an idiot. I linked to his prattle because it does, in one read, wrap up all the allegations against Apple.

I love that vid. It even came true, in that Microsoft took it to heart.

    Welcome to the social.

<chuckle> Yeah. I wasn't meaning to dispute you, but merely to add to it.

Apple steals from MS, and from Unix, and itself, and MS steals from Apple.

I think it's a good thing, don't you? The features that work best live on, while the features that were useless die a well-deserved death. In the case of Apple, does anybody remember OpenDoc?

How many of MS's features died, I wonder? If I recall correctly, Windows lost automatic fax capabilities, and direct access to MSDOS. Can you think of any others?

hehe direct access to MSDOS .. thats an euphemism! windows tried to get rid of its dos roots like .. thrice? win95, win98, winME - they all promised an all new windows, and still it was merely just written atop MSDOS

Actually, Firefox just copied Opera, who originally invented tabs.

of course microsoft copied some features there not stupid if microsoft and apple dident copy ideas from each other we would have 2 half baked OS which would both be crap and lacking features

most of these ideas originate with 3rd party publishers

    The Cake is a LIE!!!
