Easter Eggs
Anyone got easter eggs to share?
Here's one to start the ball rolling:
Open a new tab in Firefox and type about:mozilla in the address bar (and hit enter).

That's pretty neat! How'd you find out about that?

I have no life. I sit at my PC for hours and find 'stuff'.

i saw that mozilla thing on wikipedia here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Book_of_Mozilla
In Paint Open an image and select the magnifying glass icon. Left-Click exactly on the line below the 8x. and you will get a 10x zoom

That's pretty cool.
Here's some more:
Open notepad in XP. Type the following line exactly like this:
bill sux dog dicks
do not hit enter
save the file, then close it
open the file again with notepad
notepad will not display the text in the file!
another easter egg from windows xp:
1. open notepad
2. write '.LOG' (without quotes)
3. save the file (not SAVE AS, just plain save), any name is valid
4. close the file
5. open it
you'll notice windows has inserted an entry containing hour and date
type =rand(200,90) into Microsoft Word (new doc) and hit enter

i tried about 10 different combos of numbers. it seems to work with any 2 numbers. =rand(1,1) gives you the phrase just once.

Re: Easter Eggs
The most interesting one that I've found is:
Try to make a new folder anywhere named con and see what happens.
Freaky.

Re: Easter Eggs
that's not really an easteregg.
it is a very very very old leftover from DOS times where strings like con and prn were used as device name.
of course microsoft has "completely" rewritten the code like 200 times since then (at least they say so). but strangely this still exists. so much for the truth.
it was quite a sport in win9x/ME/2k/xp (pre sp1) days to crash mashines like that
just make a website which has the image <img src="file://con/con.jpg"> in it, and mail the link around or send it to your "friends" on IM. or just send around the link file://con/test.html etc ...

This was always a favorite of mine, kept me busy in advanced software aps in high school for hours:
Excel - Excel 97 Flight to Credits
1. On a new Worksheet, Press F5
2. Type X97:L97 and hit enter
3. Press the tab key
4. Hold Ctrl-Shift
5. Click on the Chart Wizard toolbar button
6. Use mouse to fly around - Right button forward/ Left button reverse
From my new fav song... If they could love like you and me imagine what the world could be
