If you have makeup artists and computer retouching, it's easy to give the illusion that the abs are more defined than they are.

I mean, you can judge for yourself in the shots below. Beckham's body in the shots masgrandeburrito posted on the beach are quite different to the original underwear ad.

Not so much, this is a massive campaign, of course that's his body, that's why he's being used. While I'm sure there is a fair amount of airbrushing being used, that's his body + face.
