I know we are probably the only ones that will love this as Elaine Stritch is an aquired taste.

She is one of the last of the grand dames of broadway, and its really sad that she is so unknown.

keep in mind that this recording is actually her reprising the role 35 years after the play closed on broadway.

Or according to her, because she improvised profanities in the script, which sounds highly unlikely for an old pro like her. Another account found on Google says she insulted the writer, which is not considered a firing offense in Hollywood. I'll bet your version is the real story.
