I'm not one who's prone to superstition, but just out of curiosity I was wondering if there was any significance to the two corresponding dates -- 9/11/1857 and 9/11/2001 -- in numerology. Interestingly, both dates add up to the number 5. For example, 9/11/1857 breaks down as follows:

You don't need to go back to 1857 to find the second worst terrorist attack on American soil. You need only go to April 19, 1995 to the Oklahoma CIty bombing committed by rightwingnut Timothy McVeigh. 168 people killed.

Some writers claim that seismographic records from a nearby research station shortly after the explosion may indicate possible multiple explosions, but other analysts claim that multiple readings within seconds more likely indicate shock waves from collapse of the building.

Yes, I do, actually. I believe there were plenty of witnesses to view it - reporters, and family members of victims. High profile people don't just "go to Brazil" these days without SOMEBODY noticing.

I saw a rather interesting documentary on the History Channel today called "Hitler's Secret War on America".

Apparently, Adolf seemed to be interested in striking New York city as a symbollic attack on the American Psyche.

But of course, the bombers which were to deliver the bombs never were constructed to get to America and back to Germany.

They did have some other plans, but by the time they figured out how to work them...The Nazis were already losing and naval superiority (U-Boats) were pretty much sunk.
