I think it be a mistake not to cast the members from the first three movies.
however the plus side is; Wolverine oversatuation will be down...(and I love him to pieces too ya know)
other pluses Colossus might get more then a sentence...and maybe we'll see some other mutants that have been absent.
I have to say I loved Kelsey Grammar as Hank McCoy. I still would like to see the other characters though...some of the actors are just blah and without Famke, Hugh or Halle, Patrick and Ian I don't think it would be as good.
If they do decide to continue they should call it "New X-Men"
That way they can have a different story line, OH! AND MAYBE EMMA FROST COUDL LEAD THEM! AND OH OH! NORTHSTAR COULD BE IN IT, AND THEY TAKE THE ULTIMATE ROUTE OF GAY COLOSSUS AND NORTHSTAR LOVEYNESS...
Because Kitty was totally jonsing for Bobby in 3, and her relationship with Colossus wasn't even mentioned let alone on the radar...So maye they'll go that route....(they shoudl hire me for ideas for the next film, or all the other guys in the comics thread I swear).
Breath, EP, breath. :P
Four X movies, and STILL no Dazzler!!! DAMMIT! LOL
Dazzler's so Jubilee, though in terms of the public viewing audience. Then again, they never showed Jubilee using her powers.
But yes, I would love Emma to be in it. She'd have to be the only TP there since Xavier's a flatscan now. Mmm...
No. Jean's out. The audience would never accept that and they should know it.
However I have to ask why they didn't just have Bobby freeze the water...I know they wnated to bring the phoenix in and all, but they had too much going on in three to fully realise the Phoenix. So I have to ask; Why? Why didn't they let Bobby freeze the water?
Don;t get me wrong I liked the third movie...in fact it was pretty good. Or why didn't they use the cure on Jean whilst she was Phoenix...
Why didn't Rogue absorb her powers...?
Why doesn't Colossus have more than a sentence....why didn't fucking bobby freeze the water? It's Bobby's fault Jean died!
1.) Jean was tearing everything apart. (Look at Wolverine's flesh) Rouge would have been ripped to shreads (unless she was wrapped in the material Huge Jackman's pants were made out of).....
2.) Presumably, all the cure needles were destroyed when Jean went ape-shit.
As for Colossus....Maybe Daniel Cudmore is good to look at, but maybe he's not much of an actor...I don't know, never really seen him try...Although, he needs to be RUSSIAN!
As for this idea of no older characters...FUCK OFF! Magneto has to come back! After the cliff hanger at the end, Magneto needs to come back. In some capacity...Even if it's just a set-up cameo for X5...Ian McKellen MUST GRACE the screen with his presence!
An X-Men without McKellen, is not an X-Men I want to see....
But anyways....If for some reason they do leave him out...Only Mr. Sinister would be able to lure me to the theatre...
I'm sorry to have kept you waiting, but I'm afraid my walk has become rather sillier recently...
But the cure didn't bloody work! If you look at it logically, if Magneto can just about start using his power again as shown in the last shot of X3, then it stands to reason the 'cure' was temporary. Meaning Mystique/ Raven could very well be back (yay!) and Rouge is still a mutant (give the girl something to do please!)
Also a lot of people missed the real ending in X3 that ran AFTER the credits ended. Our favourite slaphead is alive and well and being medically cared for. Nice bomshell.
If they do do a fourth, they need to have Colossus, Pyro, a Decent Psylocke, Gambit, Jubilee (they made her a bad minion in X3 - Don't think so) and definately Magneto getting his bad mojo on again. And I'm plugging for Destiny to rear her head and cause a bit of trouble (Destiny is Mystique's lover and Rogue's adoptive mother in the comics - they can't leave that alone).
Bend me, break me, anyway you need me
as long as I want you baby, it's alright.
Well Bobby didn't freeze the watet because he would've died. He simply can't freeze all that watet that fast. He's still a kid in the movies. They couldn't use teh cure on Jean because someone would have to get near her. I there's one thing I know about X-men it's that Jean's never ever ever dead ever. So I wouldn't be surprised for her to pop up but I dont know how I'd feel if she did. I feel Scott could come back aswell being that we never actually saw him die or dead. It just feels like they intentionally left an opening. As for knew cast members... Gambit. They're gonna write him in if they make another. Mark my words.
With all that moisture he would of froze it solid easily. (and Nightcrawler could of easily teleported him out...)
The reason why Bobby didn't do it, is because the writers didn't have a better way to make Jean the Phoenix.
FYI; Bobby is also a Class-5 liek Jean.
I think if Pheonix could disslove pure matter into nothingness, while lifting oh i don't know a few thousand tons of water with barely any effort, I don't think she would have a problem with a little ice. And plus I think Iceman was thinking about other things such as not having his molecules torn asunder, and not creating a huge wall of ice that would serve no purpose, other than looking cool of course.
No no no. Jean can't come back.
She's not a 'Phoenix' in the movie. She's just a split personality calling herself the Phoenix.
Even though she did have huuuuge powers, they were pretty much based on her original powers, with nothing 'mystical' about them.
not to be a downer but u guys talk about this movie like its real
xmen is great but its a written story so wondering why the characters didnt do something they could have is just weird, they werent really doing it the writers and special effects are really doing it.
Any news about the possible Young mutants spin-off that was supposed to be whites next after Wolverine and Young-Magneto. I'm not holding my breath about X4 any time to soon with the spin-offs as 1st priority for the studio I think x4 is at least a good 5 years away.
"It's strange to have a creation out there, a deeply mutated version of yourself, running loose and screwing everything up. I wonder if this is how parents feel." Dexter Morgan
Assuming that the writers are familiar witht he characters and what the characters can and have done int he comics for years, that's why we ask. The Phoenix has been fought several times and there have always been different ways that characters with their powers have tried to stop the Phoenix, so we wonder why characters were not given those roles to act out.
And yes, you are a downer.
That's a good point, that Jean never was the Phoenix we know. Maybe that's why she could possibly be revived ::shrug::
I still believe that Rogue will never be fully realized as an active and useful character since they never gave her any powers beyond her absorbtion ability. So unless she knocks out Ms. Marvel in the film, or Sunfire, she's going to remain useless and I can't think of any conceivable way for her to permanently absorb someone else's powers.
Jubilee wasn't an evil minion. That asian girl was a half-assed attempt at Psylocke.
I think Jubilee would be a great addition to the team. She has spectacular special effects powers to utilize and a new line up of possibly "New Mutants" would make for an interesting movie.
Why do people hate jubilee anyway? So many people I know want to kill here. WHAT DID SHE EVER DO TO YOU!?
I like her. It just sucked that writers always reduced her into a powerless bubblehead in the comics. She had an awesome and powerful mutant ability with a lot of potential, but they never let her master it because she 'was afraid'. She went through so many different trials and tribulations, but whenever she appeared ina new series, she was back to being mallrat-bubblegum-blowing/air-head Jubilee. They really gave her the shaft. And now she's depowered...*sigh.
I agree. Jubilee got shafted big-time and she wasn't the pain in the ass people thought her to be. She was actually my favorite from Generation-X because she was able to stand on her own (and yet, so seldom did)
And do we honestly need more Wolverine? Sorry, Wolvie ans, but the character is like shit- he's everywhere. And X2 was almost completely about him, and he was a huge focus in both X1 and X3. Can't we move on to other characters?
Bobby as he exists in the movies is no way a level 5 or the Omega he has been shown to be in the comics.
And I'm allf or a lack of Wolverine. We all know that nothing will ever stop him ever no matter what it is, okay? Hurray.
Though it IS nice to see him getting schooled with basic psychic attacks.
Bring Nightcrawler back, bring in Gambit, make the story less choppy and I will definitely be seeing this movie.
It's real problem is they're trying to make stand alone movies out of DECADES of continuity. They'll never fit it all in.
