.
I enjoy eating it very much (raw but cured).
The fat seems to be melting(very soft) because of the chilli and the long cured process.
My question, is salami good for you if you eat it often ?

How does your hot salami smell?
I would thing that the fat/grease content, as well as the salt content would be very bad for you in large/frequent quantities.
I stuff myself with it, can't get enough of it.
Never did me any harm.
wrong damn thread....my bad
and my hot salami IS good,
wannna try some?
.
Salami has a "sour" smell but taste nice.
You guys seems to forget this is a "No Flame Zone" LOL
Reuma means rheuma or arthritis in english xD
Rheuma basicaly means that your joints get swollen because the carbamic acid crytallizes in the liquor between the two bones. That causes great pain and limits the ability to move.
It is common amongst elder people, but with a proper diet the symptoms can be handled reasonably well.
Damn, I feel so smart right now...
No it is not good for you because of high saturated fat (bad fat), sodium ie. salt, and possible nitrates/preservatives. High levels of consumption of such meats have even been implicated as contributing to certain cancers (pancreatic, liver).
But, that is not to say it doesn't taste good!
Processed meats like salami and bacon arent good for you and can lead to cancer. That doesnt mean you cant have it sometimes though, just dont eat it all the time.
 Seriously..Im in craving of Salami these days...
blame it on slim jim and Kraft
My fav for the moment is: Cotto Salami ..|
*Save with my student budget. Can be mix and match in ramen, rice, pasta, sandwich (yuck) everything!
It's a delicious frugal treat ^^
Joswan if you like Cotto then give peppercorn salami a try it is so good... of course if you can't make your mind up then just make a nice sam'ich
^
I will get cancer in 1 bite
As with any kind of sausage, once you find out what's in it and how it's made you'll never eat it again.

Read it and weep. I prefer my donkeys with straw hats on.
That is why I like eating Kosher Sausage.... jewish meat is the best thing you can put in your mouth when it comes to sausages...
It might sting a little in the rectum, methinks.
*squeals with delight*
