Well, Pentatonix won Season 3 of The Sing-Off on NBC, and it looks like they'll be around for quite awhile. They have a website, and youtube (PTXOFFICIAL, I believe). Anywho, this is their latest cover. It's of Gotye's "Somebody That I Used to Know."
I understand that I'm the only one on JUB who's sadly obsessed with this newly-found group, so I will worship them in this thread by my lonesome.
Oh, and "Somebody..." is a free download. It's kickass.
They're not perfect, but they're still kickass vocalists.

saw the last 15 minutes of the finale of the show and thought they should win--the blond dude seemed like a big gay ha ha---is there really a market for a cappella singing in this fucked up music world?--doubt it.

Well, I guess The Sing-Off is trying to create one. Everyone loves singers now, so they're trying to give people groups that are ALL singers. It should work on paper. . . . . . .right?

Eh, it'll probably die down. There's only so much people can do until they run out of ideas. I'm sure they won't just stick to a cappella, since most of them, if not all, play instruments.
And, yes, Scott is probably gay. But it's all good :)
this video was even shared on beyonce's facebook page
omg. Just saw this. Amazing!

Pentatonix on Conan
The acoustics were much better than in Ellen's. Listen with headphones for a full experience ;)

I'm excited for them. They'll be in Pitch Perfect 2, and apparently they're going to be the Barden Bellas' rivals. It'll be interesting to see Brittany Snow and Anna Camp back even though they "graduated" by the end of the first movie.

So... their Christmas album "That's Christmas to Me" was nominated for best musical arrangement, instrumental/ a cappella for their Daft Punk rendition. And this also happened...

I lied. there's no nomination for their Christmas song
