And I really don't think Christina is THAT manufactured, yes she's a popstar which means that you are sort of manufactured by default BUT she's been able to make her own decisions for the last 10 years which is why she hasn't been commercially successful all the time on the same league of Madonna (well Madonna's albums haven't sold that well either, she's more of a tour selling artist) or Gaga but at least she's doing whatever the hell she wants as an artist.

But enough with this Britney versus Christina shit. Let's just say they are different and we can happily enjoy both.

while 95% of patients suffering from multiple personalities got heavy molested in very early childhood years, the other 5% are victims of bad anesthetic practice and woke up while a medicaul, surgical operation was performed on them....

anyways; watching this video, you see clearly a poor girl suffering from a heavy mental, psychic illness.

i feel pitty for her...i don't think she likes what she is doing and i think that she need professional, psychological help.

She can think of herself, if she decided right now to be the hottest popstar on the planet again she would be it in a heartbeat, she could diet, work out, listen and obey to a great top-notch PR team, get a team of stylists to get the best for, buy some writing credits, You know, Be THAT Britney.

She has a super powerful machine behind her that can afford anything, and they're hungry for money, but I think it's pretty clear it's her decision not to do that, she clearly doesn't care for that so I think she can think by herself, so you were just you trying to mock her mental health.

I'm not trying to mock anything, I'm just stating the truth. She can't make her own decisions and we all know it. On top of that she doesn't really give a fuck about her career (that I agree with) so that's why she acts they way she acts.

I can't speak for everybody else but I didn't buy Bionic even though I'm a huge Xtina fan. And I'm the first one to criticize her when I don't like something...I just don't see that happening with Britney fans that often, they all blindly follow and praise everything she says/does taking it to the most ridiculous situations and even making stuff up to make themselves feel better, for example: There's a video on Youtube of Christina vs Britney and both are singing happy birthday, the clip they showed of Britney was the one when she was holding a cake and singing to LA Reid on The X Factor. Britney obviously didn't sound half as good as Christina and some fan commented on the video: "She can't sing right because she's holding a cake" ROTFL. Classic Britney fan right there.

Although you mention she has no control over her career/life. She arranged the X Factor contract herself, her make-up artist mentioned working with Simon and she said she'd be interested in working on a show like that. Simon got in touch directly with Britney and Britney agreed to doing the show by a 3rd phone call.


I wouldn't buy into everything you read regarding the conservatorship, she still has plenty of input to her career. She still comes up with concepts for videos and performances, plus plays a part in co-writing songs and writing songs for other artists.


Regarding the Christina vs Britney debate, yes Christina probably has more range than Britney, but some people prefer softer vocals. Britney is far more successful than Christina and that speaks volumes.

I think they are both really successful in their own way, you can't really measure success only by album sales because Britney releases an album pretty much every year or every 2 years while Christina usually takes 3 or 4 between each album so just by logic Britney will sell more and be more "popular" because she's seen and heard more often.

If you want to measure success by awards, Christina takes the prize with multiple Grammys and awards everywhere.
If you want to measure success by voice and recognition of the music industry, Christina takes the cake.
If you wanna talk about success in the movies, Burlesque did pretty good worldwide while Crossroads tanked everywhere.
If you wanna talk about tv success, well The Voice has bigger ratings than The X Factor and the fact that Britney (or her people) decided to join a reality music contest after Christina did it and made it cool speaks volumes (and I didn't say that, The New York Times did, http://www.nytimes.com/2012/09/18/ar...usic.html?_r=0 ).

So there. Success is a very vague concept and, as I said before, they are both successful in their own way.

I don't agree, and I don't think that's due to me being biassed. The info regarding the X Factor is directly from Simon's mouth, the info about the conservatorship is mainly speculation. I think she genuinely likes to keep busy- not solely for the money. Britney didn't release anything in 2010- just worked on her album, yet she still earnt $64 million.

Britney's been around for 14 years and has 7 albums, she doesn't release an album every year and hasn't since her 3rd album in 2001. Which leaves an 11 year time frame with 4 albums, so she doesn't really release a new album every year.

Britney has won her fair share of award and has had a lot of recognition for her music too. Christina is probably more appreciated by the Grammy association though.

Burlesque had a $55million budget grossing just under $90mil, the cast also included celebrities who would bring in their fan bases (Cher, Kristen Bell, Cam G etc). Crossroads has a $10mil budget, and grossed $61mil- with her name pretty much alone.

The ratings system is so flawed, as far as I'm aware it only accounts for 25,000 American households (not even 1% of the total).

With that said though, Britney has brought shows their highest viewed episodes from her appearances on the shows (How I Met Your Mother, Glee etc).


And I'm sorry, but J-lo started the music contest trend- though she followed that stint with a moderately successful singing career (unlike Christina).



She has sold over 100million records world wide, has the 6th highest grossing tour of any female artist, has the most successful celebrity perfume etc etc.



I agree that success is a very vague concept and both artists are successful, I just didn't appreciate you downplaying her involvement based on speculation about her conservatorship.

^As I said before, let's just be happy that we can appreciate both. I gotta tell you I like both, though I'm Team Xtina at heart, and even though I kinda think all this Xtina vs Britney thing is ridiculous deep down I sort of enjoy it lol. Feels like the old times.

It's true though :?. It's not an accurate indication of TV viewings at all. It's not being a "classic Britney fan", it's being educated regarding the subject at hand. Research into it yourself. I've had an issue with this system since before X Factor even aired as TV shows get cancelled based on the viewings of less than 1% of the population.

I wanted new music but I guess I have to settle for a "best of"...

LOL at that gif. I kinda feel Will.I.Am totally missed an opportunity there, he got Britney in his studio and she's barely in the song! She only sings 4 words (that probably took her 30 seconds to record) and then he used the "Britney Bitch" from 2007's Gimme More. C'mon Will.

Britney Spears is my all time favorite singer.

I admit her voice isn't the strongest but her tone is very unique, one of the most recognizable in the world.

It has been sad though to watch her become a shadow of her old self when it comes to performing. But she still delivers on her albums and still makes some of the best music videos out there. So as long as she continues to do that I will continue being a fan.

She IS still one of the biggest pop stars in the world. Some people not liking her behavior or looks does not change that.

All of her albums have debuted #1 in the world. The only album which did not in the US (debuted #2) is the one which got the best reviews from the critics.

You can see on the X-factor that often you can hear people scream twice as much when she enters compared to the other judges.

And yes I do think she has a serious mental illness. I would guess bipolar with side disorders (like OCD and social anxiety). Maybe multi-personality disorder. It was really weird when she was talking with a British accent all the time, even when she was crying.

She might have been doing it for a long time but it has increased a lot with age and reaching it's peak around the time she was having her breakdown.

Obviously it is more than a cute habit when it has reached the point of you still doing it when you are upset and crying.

At this point in time it should be obvious Britney Spears is mentally ill. I'm a hardcore fan of hers but I'm not gonna be in denial about it.

2013= New Album and a new show...YES!

Ehhhmmm she's negotiating to have a Las Vegas show for 2 years.

A lot of changes within the last couple of months for Brit-Brit. Her not returning for another season of The X-Factor (:gogirl:), her rumored 2 year+ Las Vegas residency (#-o), and her continued success on the music charts with will.I.am makes this girl the undisputed Princess of Pop. :=D:



Being single has never looked better on her, and I'm ready for album #8. Hoping for an album more Velvet Rope and a lot less trip down pop-dustep lane. She's been there, and blazed that trail, already.

The rumors right now are that it won't be a dance album.

I wish Vocalney and hope they will use less vocal effects this time.

^I've been reading that as well, I would like a more personal, vocally driven album too. Not expecting vocal gymnastics but songs like "Everyday" and "Strangest Love" is the over all vibe I would like: introspective lyrics and/or atmospheric music.

The remix for "Scream and Shout" is crazy because it sounds like a mix-tape. Word is all the leading pop stars are trying to stir clear of EDM this time around, here is Britney & co (seemingly ahead of the trend) with this remix.

I was no way implying Britney was the mastermind behind the remix just merely an observation based on, supposedly, what's happening in music for '13 in pop. Yeah, it is a will.i.am song but "Scream and Shout" has been more referenced as a Britney Spears & will.i.am song. It took awhile for this song to grow on me, it's not all that impressive and really nothing different from what will has released in the past. Britney (bitch) is a contributing factor for the single's success. He finally has the solo hit single he's been looking for after years of collaborating with just about everybody else.
