I want to see him do a solo on Glee, the kid can sing, imo.
Here's another song from the group--Kevin comes in at the second part of the first verse, and then again at the bridge. And, apparently, he also had a stint on True Blood.

this show is pretty damn good..
the choir teacher is in fact hot..
when he was singing "Gold digger" i instantly fell in love lol
Fox has picked up Glee for the full season.
I'm sort of plus/minus about this show. On the minus side, I'm a little annoyed about the "message of the week" (my least favorite had to be the "you need to decide between art and money", which as a graphic designer I'm really tired of hearing), and that there seems to be a dependence on high school stereotypes (I know there were cliques in high school, but this is ridiculous; in my high school we had plenty of cross-over (band people that were cheer-leaders or jocks, for example, or jocks that participated in academic events)). As for the characters, I really wish that they would quite one-noting the female characters (the black girl needs to be a diva, the would-be love interest is fun and empathic, the wife is a lying shrew, and the ambitious glee member is ultra-competive and unlikeable (and I won't get started on the Evil Coach and her girls)).
However, past that the show is phenomenal. I can allow some of the more orchestral moments (such as the Cheeros' song) because they work, and I think they're having some fun with it; there has been some interesting character growth in the male characters, and the obstacles have been legit, if a bit heavy-handed, and handled well in-story. I think that by the end of the series, it's going to be really fun.

The show is cool, but wtf happened to the members of the old glee club before the old glee club coach got fired? That guy in the first episode was really cute. Fynn looks like such a dufus. And why can't there be a hot gay boy? The one they have isn't even that cute.
Thank you! I'm so glad I'm not the only one who feels this way. Everyone I talk to just gushes and I really see teh potential but I can't help but see it as a great base that seems to become to concerned with finding a place for the next great musical number than with developing character and story. Like that whole subplot about Amber being in love with Kurt was just too far out there for me. I mean he's SO flamboyantly gay that I highly doubt having been around him so long she'd suddenly be SO in love with him... they just wanted a reason to do Bust Your Windows. But with head cheerleader seemingly turning over to the light side in the last scene of last week I'm hopeful that they'll be flushing out her character.
i fucking LOVE this show.... I like that Puck wants to be there for his kid.. But then again I like Finn too, this is indeed a juicy storyline, so soapy. I love it. I think Puck is gay, he obsessed with the word "gay" lol. I really like Tina and it was sweet how she wanted to take one for the team. When did Rachel become so selfish?
Kurt and his dad was really touching
The guys dancing to 'Singles Ladies" was HILARIOUS! This show is comedy's gold. They better get a shit load of Emmy's lol.
^ Yes, Tina speaks! More than one line! I hope there are more to come!
OK, the not-pregnant wife thing got SLIGHTLY more interesting. It would be funny if she could really pull it off and somehow snatch Quinn's/Puck's baby while keeping Will away from the "birth."
The latest episode was hugely disappointing. It was awful enough that Will's wife was hiding a non-pregancy now Finn's girlfriend IS pregnant with Puck's baby. I guess they are trying to make it so Will's wife takes Quinn's baby. But that makes no fucking sense because it's not like she can transport the baby to her uterus. How awesome BOTH our sympathetic male leads have these stupid ass, fake baby storylines! I wanted to smash my television.
FOr some reason I do like the tension btwn Will and Rachel. But that's it.
Fox seems hellbent on killing all of its shows with this contrived bullshit. First Fringe does that body swap bullshit. Then Sarah Conner is canceled and instead Dollhouse returns. I can only rely on that DirectTv Friday Night Lights for any decent television I guess.
The difference being that this is primarily a comedy, while those shows are not. This show started from episode one being about people behaving badly; only a small handful of characters have shown no significant flaws yet. And technically there is only one fake baby; the other one is apparently very real.
Who knows where they're going to head with this show. Perhaps they'll lure us in with stereotypes and a-holes, and they'll eventually get us to care about and root for every character. Perhaps not. It's still one of the most refreshing new shows network tv has had in a while, and it's only four episodes in.
OMG! KURT FTW! I LOL so loud!
Sorry to double post. Can't edit my previous but I got a little teary when Kurt told his father!
good stuff! it's serious, quircky, funny, insane, idiotic, dark, light and deals with some intense underline themes. I wouldn't expect anything less from those who brought us Nip/Tuck!
It reminds me of my other favorite short lived 'high school' show; Popular.
I so totally agree with you. It is GOLD with a lot of sequins attached. I loved this last night and every night previously.
Sometimes you just have to sit down and enjoy a show for what it is and hope it keeps all the elements that you like and want to see every week. I have not a complaint thus far, and look forward to every ensuing episode.
The sung performances last night seemed very short. I hope they aren't trying to downplay the musical aspect.
The storyline is starting to become a little too soap opera-ish.
But as long as Jane Lynch continues to have a major role, I'll be watching. She is comedy gold. (And it's nice to have an out lesbian actor in a leading role in a TV series.)
It's good entertainment. I was wondering if the writing could hold and so far...of course it's so short into the season...but looks fine. I suspect the obvious is not so obvious. I think the storylines will twist and twist again. It's television....they can take liberties. The football game was a riot and totally non-reality. The music and dance is the vehicle and I hope they ride it well.
Anyone watch this show yet? I love this show!!!
found a thread on glee. Please delete this. sorry
Here is the scene with the football players:
I love this show too.It's a must see...|
I watched the first two episodes and think the teacher is so hot but the show is not. I'm not getting why so many people are into this. I don't see anything special or ground breaking with this show. It reminds me of "Popular' but no where as good or well written.
This episode was definitely a plot-developing one. I think the big problem though is that there are just so many side-stories going on, many viewers are just gonna get lost.
I do agree that it is getting to be a little soap opera-ish. She plans on stealing her baby? I mean come on.
Great fun. A wonderful cast of talent. Highly recommended. This week's 'ALL THE SINGLE LADIES' episode was tremendous. Catch it on-line if you missed it.
I really like all the little subtleties placed in the show that make it great comedy in my eyes. I think the cast is great, especially the Sue character. I hope the writers handle the character development well and not make them constantly confined as the caricatures that they portray.
Oh LOVE it i havent had a series on TV that ive looked forward to in a LONG time, remember seeing the pilot after american idol one night since then I couldnt wait.
When the football players did the "Single ladies" dance on the field...i lost it..LOST it! lol too funny
theres a shortage of hot guys in this show for me and the type of guys I like...although Patrick Gallagher's character "Ken" the football coach?...yeah hes hot :) yes ill be the one who thinks that Puck (Mark Salling) and Finn (Cory Montieth) are not attractive LOL, what can i say I like the older and (or... usually both lol) heavier crowd... I think Gallagher has been in True Blood as well
(A show I can never catch but will one day have to catch up...especially if that show keeps going on HBO)
I'm starting to think that cause I HATE Gossip girl also. I do like "It's always sunny in Philadelphia" when I can catch it which isn't often. I like Nip/tuck still. I just don't like these stupid High school shows. Everyone is a bitch and all the guys are idiots. Just bores me. I did catch Flash Forward last night and liked that. Very interesting. There just is to many teen shows and shows about doctors and detectives. I am wanting to see something original.
Don't forget True Blood. You also didn't like True Blood :D
I don't mind high school shows as long as they're entertaining (such as Glee). And I like Gossip Girl, although I have to correct you -- they are now in college. It doesn't really change the premise though. However, I can't stand the new 90210, and won't get anywhere near Melrose Place.
And I agree, there are too many medical and crime procedural shows on TV nowadays, but the old people like them I guess. Do we really need Mercy, or Trauma, or NCIS: LA?
I can't get myself to watch Flash Forward. There's just no more room in my brain for another show like Lost.
I'm really disappointed in this last episode. I feel like they really don't know how to handle their characters. They're doing well with Kurt's inability to articulate his sexuality but everything else is kind of disastrously. After the way the previous episode ended I thought they just might be making Quinn and Annoying Wife into whole characters but they've only made them both bitchier more deceptive shrews.
They know that Sue's hilarious but they don't know how to fit her in with things so they're Gerrymandering storylines around her. It's ridiculous. They need to drop this 'rivalry' between the Cheer squad and the Glee squad and just make this the story of oddball underdogs searching for some relevance in a world that ignores or rejects them.
And the musical numbers just need to spring more naturally. The whole episode centering around "Single Ladies" was just wretched. I get the irony of seeing a football team perform that but it just seemed SO forced and worse off IT HAD NOTHING TO DO WIHT THE PLAY. I could even buy it if the song was some how crucial to some sort of play but they danced and then played the game.
I really think they just need to change directions with this entirely.
^^That is really an excellent analysis.
I forgot about True Blood. I did watch the whole first season but thought it was kinda dumb. This huge thing is happening in the world and we are stuck getting some hill jacks point of view with some odd mind reading powers that are not explained. And something about her makes me wanna punch her, lol. I should give the second season a chance when I have time I guess. Give Flash Forward a try. I don't like much and I liked that. I also watched Lost when it first came out and after the season one finale I gave up. I watched a little of last season but couldn't get into it. Sad thing out of all this is I have seen every episode of The Hills. Now how the fuck does that happen?!!! LOL
I disagree with you on Quinn. I think we're starting to see something real there. The wife is a terrible character, and has been since day one. I don't see any way to salvage that character except to make her even more of a bitch, which will only serve to make him look like a real idiot.
The coming together of the GLEE club is happening too fast. Instead of taking time to develop the few characters we were first introduced to, they just keep throwing more in there. You can't feel for the stutterer because she's been in the background the whole time. Wheelchair boy has no characterization at all. And I deliberately didn't look up their names, because as much as I am really loving the show, I can't remember their names, and that's pretty telling.
I really think it's a good show, but I worry that it's not going to stay a good show if they don't slow down and start developing things a little more.
Quinn is certainly flushed out more than Annoying Wife. But who are we kidding? They're sullying any attempts they made to further her character. And it was EXTREMELY odd how there was no closure to Annoying Wife and her conversation like it's implied we're supposed ot know what happened or something? No... no I don't know how the 'I want your baby complete stranger' talk goes. And if she got cold feet then I would equally be ensure how the 'what the fuck are you doing in my car complete stranger who oddly knows my most intimate secret?' conversation goes. Like if we were meant to care at all about EITHER of those characters we needed to see that scene and it just wasn't there. They're props to keep Finn and Rachel apart and to keep Schuster and OCD guidance counselor apart rather than full characters.
I agree hyper loading on Glee Members is a problem. They shouldn't be adding them in batches. Having to achieve a smaller number over a longer time period would make them more of a tight knit group with a realistic goal that could stretch almost a season and retain a feeling of rivalry without Sue becoming too overbearing and complicating the plot.
Um, I just caught up with the first four episodes yesterday, and was so so so excited for the new episode I just saw.
This show is absolutely awesome. :D
I think it cements my gaydom. ..|
Kristin Chenoweth is fantastic! I hope they bring her back for another episode sometime.
^ Agreed, neo :D
I didn't think she had such pipes inside that tiny little body! ;)
After weeks I FINALLY! watched episode one and I really like this show. Finn and Rachel are so CUTE<3333
She has a great voice. Mercedes reminds me of Effee from "Dreamgirls" lol.
I really like the guidance counsalar, I like her little crush on the lead guy. Damn I'm not good with names haha
PUCK? Hott! nuff said about that
Tina? I like her and Kurt is funny
The Cheerios<3333 The bitchy controlling wife<333 Everyone is suprisingly likable. Dont Stop Beliving was a great performance.
Episode 2 was deleted from my DVR! BOOOOO! I'll watch eppy three and give my thoughts.
i fucking LOVE this show....
Kristin Chenoweth was fantastic on this episode....def cements why she won the Emmy for Pushing Daisies this year...she is a fantastic comedic actress
I have a thing for the red-headed guidance counselor. Whats-his-face had better dump his crazy b-word wife for her.
She was PHENOMENAL on this week's show. I kind of felt the plot stalled a lot this week, terrible plot and terrible lines, plus I was looking forward to more of Sue, but she was nowhere to be seen this week. Plus, whatever happened to her 'That's how Sue C's It' segment? The discontinuity makes the series a little lost from one episode to the next.
To tell the truth, this episode was really slow, but everytime I sigh a sigh of disappointment, the glee club performs another amazing number and blows me away, speechless.
So if anything, I give props for the producers ONLY for the modern interpretations of those musical numbers. Otherwise, it would have been just another BLAND series.
She is AMAZINNGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She was the highlight for this episode. I love her on pushing daisies. Just got sad that the show ended.
To see Kristin play a squatter made me laugh so hard. How her character interacted with everyone was also very hilarious.
I believe she said she was interested in coming back, I really hope she does!
^ THIS. When I watched last night's episode I had no idea who most of the people on stage with them were or where they came from. I don't think it's necessary for them to flesh out every single member of Glee club (because that would really bog things down) but the way they're transitioning is kind of throwing me off.
Well the show has continued it's downward spiral almost even squandering the immense talents of Kristin Chenoweth. Honestly I'm floored. Like a Lea Michele/Kristin Chenoweth duet should be heaven and even that came out sub-par in this sorry episode. Nonetheless Chenoweth did land some solid laughs and put on a stunning performance more or less.
Still the pacing and motives of this show are bizarre. It destroys any sense of urgency or depth in character with it. There's just NO continuity.
When Finn wanted to join the football team all hell broke loose and he was outcast from the social hierarchy. He was able to force them to keep him on because they 'needed' him to do well... only to find out a few episodes later the team never wins anything anyway! And then suddenly because their coach made them dance to "Single Ladies" which mysteriously made them better at football half the team, including the loudest basher are on the Glee club?!
Not to mention the Cheerleaders who were sent onto the Glee club as "spies" but after one failed mission are just there? Are they serious about it now? There's been some indication Quinn is but what the hell is up with that? Shouldn't that make the other two she drones pressure her or are they so much of sheep they just do what she says? No way to tell considering they don't have names or lines.
But lets ignore all that and get to the premise of this episode where they need to get Rachel back to win. OK Lea Michele's a fucking amazing singer. I buy this. But then Finn has to get her to come back so he can win a singing scholarship??!! WTF!? An episode ago he was trying to get an athletic scholarship, despite being on the worst team ever, off of Kurt's talent?! How stupid, inconsistent and unoriginal. How about someone else on the team wants her because they want to win for the sake or winning or they like her as a person or they like the way Glee use to be or any number of logical character driven reasons beyond this convoluded garbage! And what's with all these time management issues!? Half the team (including Kurt?) can be on the football team and do Glee, the cheerleaders can do both, Wheels can be in teh seldom mentioned Jazz club but Rachel can't multi-task?
Really this is just shaping up to be one jumbled piece of wasted potential.
Kristin Chenoweth and Matthew Morrsion doing "Alone" by Heart.....most played song today on my Itunes....I just love that song anyways...but the two of them together is great
I was going to make the quote shorter.
But take a breath, sweets ;)
Ya never know - it's only 5 episodes into the season - a season that just got renewed for 22 total episodes.
I've thought a lot about some things you've mentioned, but the show is just so fucking fun and a blast to watch, that I don't think I care about the minor flubs/details where they should've been like "Um, duh. This doesn't make sense. Nor does this."
I'm more entertained by the fact that I've downloaded 2 songs from Glee on iTunes
(*8*)
And yeah, I was watching the last episode again tonight. Chenoweth did a FANTASTIC job on this show. I really do hope she comes back! :)
