i know i joined this thread late but i can't believe there are other people out there who love jason alexander like i do....he was definitely my first TV crush....has anyone ever seen him in love, valour, compassion - he plays a gay guy and man i wish it was true!!!

Oh hell yeah! I always admired/lusted after Dan Lauria when I was a kid. Sad thing is, The Wonder Years has never been released on DVD. That's definitely a set I would buy just to revel in watching Dan again.

I'm too old for this board. The first men that came to my mind were Don Porter the dad from Gidget, Eddie Albert from Green Acres, Carl Betz of The Donna Reed Show and Brian Keith from Family Affair. I guess they're old school dads. Oh, and they've all died!
There's something to be said for living dads but about the only dad that would fit that category for me at this point would be Wilford Brimley! But going out to the mailbox to fetch his diabetic testing supplies kind of tarnishes the romantic glow.
