Has anyone ever had a foreign guy for a boyfriend? I've always wondered what it'd be like to have a a foreign guy for a boyfriend. Say, an Asian guy? Or may be a French or German guy? Or a Czech guy that I want everytime I watch BelAmi. Oh, the possiblities....*|*

do you define foreign as non american or do you define foreign as someone not of the same nationality than you? language than you? genetic heritage?

What I meant was that someone from a different nationality, and I'm not looking for an answer, just like to hear other peoples experiences and opinions, so just fire away any good tales you have.

All my boyfriends were foreigner, meaning from different countries from mine, different language, different culture, totally different in anything.
I'm italian, born and raised in Italy, I hade americans, canadians, french, british, austrian, swedish, spanish, brazilian, german.
Had a couple of Slovakians. Was always a bit difficult to communicate, so I had to start learning slovak.. ;)
Well I am "dating" a peruvian. It is wonderfull except that he lives in Peru, and i love in the U.S. Yeh that part really sucks

No I haven't had a boyfriend although I would love to have one who spoke either French or Cantonese or Mandarin or all three! I need to brush up on my French and Cantonese plus I need to start speaking Mandarin.

My partner is Japanese, whilst I am Australian. It is a rich blending. It is a match that I would never have anticipated but neverthless is one that seems to be made in heaven. We have shared the past 4 years together now. I just love him to bits.

My boy friend is Cuban; although he lives in the states now, he does not consider himself American (he has become a citizen).

I was so excited, i picked up the phone and just called him..its the first time we've spoken since June when he left - simply because its so expensive calling mobile to mobile... but i wanted to hear him.. he sounded so pleased to hear my voice.. i cant wait to see him again!!!
Only thing is he's going to Chester, on the other side of the country from me... we will still meet up though.

Yeah, practically most of the times.
At first, cultural barriers seemed like a bit of a problem. Yet, this was sorted out pretty quickly. If the two guys set their minds on having something work out, it most likely does.
Being multilingual and multicultural did not hurt in the first place either...
