not to say most cops are this bad
Most cops are assholes. In my experiences, 9 out of 10 cops are macho thugs in uniforms. With that said, I wouldn't want to have their job for all the tea in China. I saw the report, you are talking about on TV, the other night. They were getting to much joy out of what they had done. It was very upsetting. It reminded me of Nazis.
End of the day -- if a person is breaking the law... they shouldnt have any rights. Im a firm beleiver of that.
AMEN joeslifeyork
Eh. We get shot in the face all the time here... no big deal.
Celebration floods into downtown Five students injured; one student shot in face with pepper bullet
Bad cops here for sure
Bad people everywhere
9 out of 10?
what has been your experiences with cops?
Referencing Nazis should be kept to a minimum in my opinion - it is so inflammatory
I agree with on wouldn't want to do that job for sure
As for EpicAdam - I don't get shot in the face nearly enough to suit me - LOL
My dad is a cop and I'm around a lot of cops all the time, and almost all of them are really nice guys.
Yes, but for that to be an effective policy, you'd have to be 100% sure that the person in question IS actually breaking the law. I mean, that's what we have a justice system for- to protect citizens, and everyone is innocent until proven guilty no? Or at least that's how it should ideally be.
And besides, everyone has rights regardless of their innocence- That's why we have the Constitution of Human Rights.
So, if we had unjust laws, you'd be a firm believer of it then?
Gays in the UK only gained the age of consent at 21 in 1967. Before then, gay sex was breaking the law. If the age of consent act was never passed, we'd be still under the victorian laws against gay men.
Laws are made which can be based on prejudice of another age. To continue to support it when it harms you is hard to justify.
Yes but the law was passed so there is no point in raising that argument.
There are laws in the UK now which will be revoked in the future.
