Sandy and I have been talking a lot lately, and it seems like my new position will require a lot of my time spent in meetings. She has mentioned before how difficult it is to get work done when she is constantly in meetings. Instead, I guess it's my turn to sit in those meetings?
I attended the management meeting on Tuesday with all of the Client Service Managers. It was beneficial, and I enjoyed being there and learning everything. What I wasn't prepared for, however, was the volume of email messages I had once I had returned to my desk 90 minutes after the meeting has started. The Management Meetings are not something that Sandy wants me to be a part of.
Instead of the management meetings, Sandy will have me running to and from the clients to set up their various systems and procedures. We will have to see where this goes. As stated earlier, I cannot simply be in meetings all day, or I will never be able to get all of my work done!
