Driver's Licenses here don't have the black strip, thus aren't scanable. As far as I can remember, they've never been scanable here. That's why I thought you put the , because I thought he was scanning your license, when it wasn't scanable in the first place. I dunno. Different licenses for different states, I guess.
Yes, my driver's license is able to be scanned. There's a black strip, like a credit card, and a bar code. Some gas stations scan it like it's a purchase with a scan gun. But the places I'm talking about run it up the side of the register like it's a credit card. When they do that, they do it with such force, it's just taken a beating on my license. I've had it for nearly four years, and I don't want to replace it until it expires in 2014. And no...it was not an excuse to roll my eyes. Why would I make up an excuse for that?
