There's really no way either one of them can be aware of the other's most recent sexual activity and they can not be assured that the other is not HIV positive. Barebacking is just as dangerous now as it was back in 1984. What's worse is that someone who i uneducated on the topic might read your comment, eventually have bareback sex and then contract HIV. Barebacking is not "HOT". It's dumb.
