One year after JUB first took you inside the Fratpad, we decided to go back and check up on the guys to see what's new in their fishbowl world. Early in 2006, the owners of the wildly popular website Fratmen.tv had this brilliant idea: What if we got a bunch of our favorite Fratmen and had them all living under the same roof, and filmed everything that happened? The result was the Fratpad. On June 15th of last year, fratpad.com went live. Not long afterward, JUB paid them a visit and did a huge spread on the launch of the site in our Summer 2006 issue. Of all the original boys, only Leo is still there. In fact, in the past year, approximately thirty guys have called the Fratpad home at some point, with as few as three and as many as twelve living there simultaneously. Since this issue is all about looking back at 2007, we decided another visit to the Fratpad was in order. Our journey started at the Fratmen.tv office where we met up with their marketing director, Jasun Mark (Soilwork to those familiar with his JustUsBoys forum moniker). "Fratpad launched and we were in a very small location. We actually had two separate apartments, and the guys were sort of bouncing back and forth between the two," he told us, "and the original idea was to have them sitting in a circle almost around the cameras and it was all this big huge chunky square furniture and the whole bit." Eventually that gave way to what you see today, which is one (big) consolidated apartment, with less stylized décor. It's actually a more accurate representation of what an apartment filled with young college-age men would look like. Meaning, there's sports gear all over the place. It's really filthy, and it smells like a men's locker room." That certainly peaked our interest and we were off to visit the testosterone filled pad. One thing we noticed right away was that the location of the actual apartment had been moved to the ground floor of the same building we'd visited last year. Apparently there were too many complaints from neighbors about boys jumping around naked on the trampoline at all hours of the night. According to Jasun, "Watching Spencer naked on the trampoline is a lot of fun, and we didn't want to stop that." In fact, the guys walk around naked all the time, and shower together often. But what you won't see are guys who feel uncomfortable on-camera. None of the models that live at the Fratpad are ever pressured into something that they don't feel comfortable doing. So when you see guys experimenting with the other guys, you know that they are genuinely curious and not being forced into something that they might regret later. Everyone has their own individual boundaries, which are always respected. One feature that started last year was Fratpad Fridays, where all the boys get together and do something crazy. Sometimes the activities are tame, like having a trivia contest where the loser gets a pie in the face. Other times they are a little bit more risqué like a strip spelling bee. They also get downright scandalous. One night they had a contest where two boys were watching straight porn and jacking off. Whoever came first got to cum all over the loser (You can see a clip of that when you take a tour of the site). Also starting this year, were pay-per-view duo shows where the real scandalous action goes down. That was actually the boys' idea, and only the boys who want to do that participate. "We had a game once called Name That Lube where Kent and Spencer sucked flavored lube off each others dicks and had to guess what the flavor was. They were blindfolded. It was really fun, and the winner blew his load on the loser", Jasun reveals. This fall, the realism will be further achieved as the fratpad really does become an unofficial college frat house with some of the boys actually attending university in the day and living at the Fratpad at night. You're sure to see more new boys moving in and visiting in an effort to put themselves through school. One thing that was universal on our visit, was how much the boys enjoy interacting with the fans. Whether it's in the chatrooms, or during special "phone-in" shows, the boys (who at the moment are all straight, though there have been gay and bi guys previously in the pad) appreciate their fans, who are almost exclusively gay men. Talking to the boys, it was awesome to see how much they all enjoy living there, and Jasun was quick to point out that all the guys that live at the Fratpad, were chosen from models on the Fratmen.tv site. Anyone interested in modeling should log on and send in your pics! See you next year boys!
