The world of fashion and the world of gay porn may seem like two polar opposites to many.  But it seems these two worlds have been coinciding with each other for many years. The latest trend is that some of the fashion industries biggest names are casting major names in gay porn to appear in their ads and on their runways and a handful of porn models are pursuing mainstream modeling in addition to their porn work.  It is no wonder considering the sheer amount of beautiful men who are not ashamed to display their gorgeous physiques, faces and more for their piece of the fame game.  

As far back as the early 80s, as documented in his Diaries, Andy Warhol excitedly recounted a weekend at Calvin Klein's house in Fire Island where Calvin and Halston were having their way with two blond porn stars he could only recall as being named "Lance and Leo".  Yes, gay porn stars have often been called upon by the top names of fashion to attend their shows and their private parties.  After all, even the top fashion designers like to have a little “eye candy” at their events. 

However, the 80’s and 90’s are over and a new trend is happening these days.  It appears that the fashion industry has decided to take down its guard a little and rather than just invite gay porn stars to come to their events, they are now casting these men in their campaigns and runway shows.  Johnny Hazzard met Boy George in a New York club in early 2004. He was so taken by Johnny that he asked for his participation in the B-Rude fashion show. It was something Johnny never imagined doing - so he did and since then he has appeared in numerous fashion and editorial shoots for some impressive designers and top photographers.

Luca Di Corso was featured in a spread in GQ and print ads promoting Tom Ford eyewear and Erik Rhodes and Ben Andrews showed up all over a recent Loehmann's catalog.  Prior to becoming a porn star, Francois Sagat was working in the Fashion Industry in France and doing illustrations and design work for some very impressive designers.  He recently was tapped by top designer Bernard Willhelm and is the feature model in the designers Spring/Summer lineup.
